The first time I saw the cover (and a few pages) of Persepolis during Lit class, I was like, “I have to buy that. I won’t settle for a photocopy.”
Anyway, I enjoyed reading this book — I even finished it in under three hours. I really like it and it is really easy to read. The frames were very simple (all of which were in black and white… I mean, just black then printed on the paper), yet it depicts the author’s memory clearly.
I actually want to open my copy of Persepolis 2 now and see what happens to Marjane’s life next. Oh and I found out that Sony Pictures Classics released a movie version. Read to the end of the entry to know more.
