So we had a gig last night. Hella fun! Even though we weren't complete. (Jaco and Carlo - Mr. HR Dept./Band Yoda weren't able to make it)
Next time, we'll be complete. And we'll be playing under the COMPLETE band name XD Hahaha! Yaaay!
Oooh. And I got a haircut… looks like my hair before sophomore year started. XD
Edit: I'll post the pic soon. Photobucket's going nuts again xD
Ok. Not exactly a show band. Just… a band. XD
Band practice was hella fun and hella funny!
Highlight of the event:
QQ (Quotable Quote) of the week: During the not-so-shoot "shoot" thing, SOMEONE (I won't mention whooo :-") said,
"Turuan mo ako magmahal…"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!
Anyway, we started late since almost all of us (or them) were kinda running late. Of course Marty was early cos it was her place. Then I came just before 3 pm I think. Then Josh came followed by Jassie shortly there after.
Then we kinda had a bet… or at least I stated something,
"Bet tayo, alas ocho dadating si Mewa."
Well I was right. XD
So before she came, we didn't have a vocalist (duh Gabby) so whatever. We just practiced the songs XD
Then Marty asked if we were hungry. So we planned on ordering from Shakey's since we wanted pizza, mojos and chicken. So Marty asked me if I knew the number, so I said,
"Hindi ako sure pero *insert I don't remember-what number here* ata…"
Then Marty comes back with the phone in her hand saying,
"Hindi naman yun eh. Pagtawag ko sabi, 'Greenwich Delivery' HAHAHAH!"
So we all start laughing. So I called up my dad to ask cos we couldn't find the number in the directory. Turns out it was 77777.
Pfft! XD
Anyway, so we ordered the party size, which we could've finished, and a basket of mojos and 8 pieces of chicken. Haha! Talk about katakawan. Haha.
So ok. After we ate, we started practicing again. Then we were wondering where Mewa was. Then Marty went to the kitchen I think. I look at my watch, 8:15 pm. Then Jaco and I hear someone laughing or shouting or something. Well guess what, it was Mewa! XD Knew it! 8 pm! XD
Anyway, we just showed Mewa what we practiced. Then she practiced with us. Then we decided to record it but the audio kinda sounded horrible XD Then we decided to take a video instead. So Carlo took the video… with his very amazing introduction XD Hahaha!
So yeh. It was funny and all… until Marty's camera ran out of battery :-< Ahaha!
So… ok. We were talking about stuff… people… AHEM. XD Hahah! Blackmail!! Heh heh heeeh! I never knew most of those things :-" EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEW!!!!!!!!
Anyway, they "ate" again while Jassie taught me the drum pattern for the songs. Then Carlo had to leave already. Then we joined the rest of them in the kitchen. Then we decided to practiced again. Then Jaco's mum arrived so we decided to leave too (well it was already 12 midnight XD)
So yeh, my parents kept calling from 11:30 til 12:00 just to ask if I was going home soon (btw, I live 3 minutes away from Marty XD)
Haha.
When I got home, my mum was in the shower. Then she gave me my stuff. Then I went online a bit.
We just talked. Then I went to bed with my painful shoulder.
When I woke up, WOW! My painful shoulder wasn't painful anymore!! … but my other arm hurt… a lot
Pfft! Ohwell. And my fingers still hurt so…
Bye XD
Woot. Ahaha. I've been thinking of blogging about Hairspray since the day I watched it last April. Whee!
We watched it at the Neil Simon Theatre last April 19th. Woohoo! We got great seats – right smack in the middle of the theatre! (courtesy of Ate Tamsin
Thanks!) Hahahaha!
Anyway, I loved it! I don't think anyone can beat Paul Vogt – he did an improv when he and Jere Burns were singing "Timeless to Me". He couldn’t deliver his line - the whole theatre couldn’t stop laughing… even those two guys. It was genuinely funny! So while everyone was laughing, he kept telling jokes. xD
Hella funneh!
Ok. So I already mentioned Paul Vogt. If you don’t know him but you watch MadTV well then… shame on you! Hahahah!

And Jere Burns, he’s been on different shows. I saw him one time in Good Morning, Miami.

Shannon Durig played Tracy Turnblad. She was really cool!

If you’re familiar with the boyband O-Town, then you’d know who Ashley Parker Angel is. That guy played Link Larkin – the guy all the girls in Baltimore are drooling over. XD

And then, Alexa Vega from the Spy Kids Trilogy played Tracy’s best friend Penny.

Then Naturi Naughton, formerly with 3LW, played Inez. Her voice was like… WOAAAH! @___@ XD

Anyway, all I can say is that I LOVE IT! I want to watch it again. XD
I love all of the Broadway shows I’ve watched (except Kiss Me Kate – sorry Tita Nem, it was seriously boring. The movie version's great though, according to Ninang). But this actually made it to the 2nd spot of my “My Favorite Broadway Shows” list.
It didn’t beat The Phantom of the Opera though
:>
Haha! Good thing I went online. Cos the moment I did, oh my! I saw a lot of people there. Then I saw some of my classmates' stats: 'walang pasok' and 'sayang ung puyat'
LOL. Thank God I actually didn't bother waking up early. Thanks to my head and nose. XP
Oh well. I went online just because I wanted to blog about Hairspray. As in the Broadway musical. Not the film. But then. Haha!
Anyway, grad pic! XP Hahaha…
Ok.
A couple of hours ago, I just experienced the "most dreaded" exam a Filipino high school student will ever have… the UPCAT. Okay. It was easy peasy! (or so I would like to think) Fine, not completely. Just because my teacher in *insert name of subject here* was kinda suckity suck sucky. :p Hell, one subset was super long that it made my back hurt. Whahaha.
Anyway, I hope that I did well for it to pull my UPG because God knows what I'll be getting (giving?) in the other component. Haha! Oh well
So anyway… we had Japanese after since I was super hungry and everything. Haha! (my dad and I had Japanese in the same resto yesterday. Haha!) One word: YUMMY!! Super. Haha! I love it! I didn't eat much. I just had 2 California temakis, 2 orders of salmon sashimi and gyoza. I want mooore!
Anyway, I texted my mum earlier. She's enjoying England before they leave for their cruise. Haha. Lucky her.
Hmm. I told you! Having yesterday off (because apparently they made it a holiday for a useless reason. My school shouldn't have followed!) really SUCKS! As in suckity suck suck! Now I can't have tomorrow off because I have to "review" for Monday's exams.
PFFT. What a REALLY GREAT way to prolong our MISERY… tsss…..
